Yes. All of our tonics are fresh and need to be refrigerated. For market pick up, please bring a cooler bag + for Friday home delivery please leave a cooler with ice.
Most turmeric pills are processed + irradiated and can contain additives/preservatives to make them shelf stable, which dramatically reduces the efficacy of the turmeric. Most turmeric supplements only contain a single extract of curcumin. We extract all of the beneficial curcuminoids, gingerols and natural oils found within the raw turmeric and ginger roots. Also, sources of the turmeric are seldom known. We use Maui-grown organic turmeric harvested right before our tonic is produced

Our Turmeric Tonic is prepared fresh and shipped directly from Maui via Fed Ex which typically takes 2-3 business days. All orders must be placed by Sunday and will be typically shipped out the following Wednesday or the next available shipping date, unless otherwise specified during checkout. Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not ship to PO Boxes, APO or FPO addresses. We cannot offer international shipping at this time. Maui Tonics is not responsible for delayed, unclaimed, undelivered or returned orders due to incorrect or undeliverable addresses or delays caused by Fed Ex due to weather or other causes beyond our control. We pack our tonics with sufficient insulation, while thinking of the environment. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee what happens to the packages once they leave us. Maui Tonics is not responsible for any damage that occurs during shipping. All flasks are tested and checked for damage + leaks prior to filling. If a package is greatly damaged, however, please take photos of the damaged box and contact us immediately after delivery. Please place the tonics into your fridge as soon as they arrive. If you have ordered more that you will consume in 1 week, place 1 or 2 flask(s) into your fridge and any addition flasks FLAT into your freezer without opening the flask. Allow 24-48 hours to thaw in your fridge.
